New Revolutionary Ideas…
A step towards new upbringing in Web technologies…
1.) To have a plug-in for browsers say Mozilla ( open source) , IE, etc which will help in automatic Refresh of the Page – with the timer for refreshing the page .
Scenario which brought up the Idea –
I was surfing the forum for silverlight – http://silverlight.net/forums and posted a question for one of my query and was waiting for the answer which is they respond in a well stipulated time frame. In a meanwhile , I started surfing for other websites. Then after some time span I came back to the same forum to get my answer , but for that I need to press the REFRESH Button to see whether they have responded for my query or not.
The Problem –
I have to Refresh the webpage because it does not have the script embedded in that for automatic refreshing of the page, which we usually see in the websites which have – live cricket score, share market, etc..
The Idea –
Why not we can have a plug-in, which will be kind of add-on under “Tools” menu which will have the options to assign the refresh time amount , say – 3 sec, 30sec, 1 minute ,etc. With this time alloted to the specific page (not whole browser) the page will automatically refreshes the same.
How and where it can be useful –
1) For Web Developers in Development –
While website development say we take an example – some Content Management system – Joomla , drupal, etc – as I work on that. We made some changes in the web page and Published it. Now, to check the changes taken affect in real scenario , we refreshes the web page and then we can see the new published page.
But, with this plug-in I have alloted the time span of say – 2 seconds. Then without any delay as soon as we made the changes , we can see the changes reflected because the page has been refreshed by now.
2) For surfing on Internet , like the one I was surfing on forums , waiting for the answer.
3) When a Person is Creating the Blog
Say for example , right now I am writing this entry in my page under My Ideas in wordpress and as soon as I complete the page – I will press the Update page button as you all can see in the image below.
Now , When I come back to the my blog – to see the changes affected I have to press the Refresh button to see the same. But, with that plug-in I need not have to wait for getting my page refreshed. And I’ll be able to see the affected page changed..
Please Please give your reviews for this ... I'll be really glad to hear from you on your opinion... whether this is a good idea to implement ???
